QUILTS AND RUGS
ALL QUILTS ARE TO BE HAND QUILTED UNLESS NOTED OTHERWISE. MATERIAL SAMPLE MUST BE ATTACHED INCLUDING A SAMPLE OF BATTING. NO STRAIGHT PINS. ARTICLE MUST BE WORK OF THE EXHIBITOR.
The
Overall Best Quilts, 2 classes: handquilted and machine quilted, by exhibitor only, will be entered in the District 5 Quilt Competition in October 2011. Winner at the District 5 level will compete at the Annual Championship Quilt competition in February 2012. at the convention of the Ontario Association of Agriculture Societies in February 2011. Quilts perimeter must be minimum of 192" or 324 cm. Judging will be as follows: Design 20, Colours 15, Material 15, and Workmanship 50. The winner will retain ownership of the quilt and receive $500 in prize money.
